Bayley is the SmackDown Women’s Champion and poised to take on both Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross at Extreme Rules this Sunday. The company has done a very good job elevating her from her previous place on the card from the last time she was a singles competitor and now she has the title to prove it.

We will have to wait and see if Bayley’s match at Extreme Rules could see Sasha Banks making return to the ring. Even if she does, Bayley has her fans that have apparently been buying plenty of merch recently as well.

Brad Shepard noted on Oh, You Didn’t Know that Bayley is doing incredibly well right now in terms of merchandise sales. However, she is racking in the sales with a very specific portion of the fan base.

“Bayley is the top seller among little girls right now in merchandise. Not the top female in merchandise, not the top merchandise seller — the top seller among little girls right now for merchandise right now. So a specific demographic.”

“Which I found very interesting because again, that would be a reason why you know she would be pushed. I mean look at Seth Rollins, he’s doing extremely well right now in merch sales. And merch sales is something Vince has always used you know as a barometer of whether to push someone or not. I mean, that’s not the only thing, but it’s a definite big factor.”

Bayley is very popular with this certain section of the fan base for a reason. She is relatable and obviously, her Hugger gimmick is still working wonders with younger female fans.

WWE needs to keep younger fans happy as well because they need them to secure the future of the company. Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Bayley’s push continue no matter what happens at Extreme Rules.
