Mistakes happen, but Star Wars fans are pointing out a major snafu in Disney+’s latest bit of promotional material that sees Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker and Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia joining a lineup of iconic couples. In the post, which you can see below, a Twitter user pointed out the network’s major blunder in a picture that sees the two characters staring lovingly into each other’s eyes. To make matters worse, it would appear that someone over at House of Mouse HQ really dropped the ball and did some sloppy work, as they seemed to have meant to make it a picture of Han Solo and Princess Leia as the characters are labeled as such in the image.

Surrounded by other beloved fictional couples, including Vision (Paul Bettany) and Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) from WandaVision, Kat (Julia Stiles) and Patrick (Heath Ledger) from 10 Things I Hate About You, and Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) from Enchanted, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia have been labeled in the new post as a couple that the network will “forever ship”. Revealing that all of these titles can be currently streamed on Disney+, we’re hoping that they haven’t released some new version of Star Wars where Luke and Leia don’t discover their shared DNA.

In a memory refresher that likely no one needs, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia have a will-they-won’t-they Ross and Rachel-like vibe at the beginning of the epic saga, with Leia also having a romantic connection with Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Return of the Jedi blew our minds for a multitude of reasons as we learned that not only was Darth Vader (James Earl Jones) Luke’s father but that he was also Leia’s dad, making the two Rebel fighters brother and sister. Unfortunately for them, the news came just a little late as the two shared a kiss during the trilogy’s previous installment, The Empire Strikes Back.

However, this made the decision between Luke Skywalker and Han Solo easier for Leia as she and the gun-shooting space cowboy ended up together in the end. As we know, Leia and Han went on to parent the worst child imaginable – Ben Solo (Adam Driver) – who would ultimately cross over to his dark side path of Kylo Ren. In the end, losing their son to the forces of evil would tear Leia and Han Solo apart, but audiences did get to see the two reunite before Han met his doom.

It’s our guess that heads are rolling over at Disney+’s social media branch today as whoever is responsible for this Luke Skywalker and Han Solo-centered oopsie is certainly going to find themselves in boiling water with one big strike against them. As we said at the top, mistakes obviously happen, but this post probably passed through the eyes of at least one person other than the original creator before it was given the go-ahead to share on Twitter. If nothing else, let this amusing example of mistaken identity remind you that we’re all human and make mistakes – some are just witnessed by more people.
