John Cunningham Obituary, Death Cause – The news of Detective John Cunningham’s demise has left me in a state of profound sorrow. Both as a person and a law enforcement officer, John was exceptional. His family as well as the Upper Darby Police Department are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Rest in peace, John, and I am grateful for our relationship.
He was preceded in death not only by his parents, but also by his brothers Darrell Stidam and Allen Stidam, as well as by two of his grandchildren while they were still very little. In addition, he was an only child. Funeral services will be conducted at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel in Morehead at one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, July 14, 2023. The funeral will be held on Friday.
The Reverends Terry Cooper and Randy Wagoner will serve as the ceremony’s co-presiding ministers. Following the conclusion of the funeral ceremony, the interment will take place in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Morehead. The following people have volunteered to act as pallbearers for the funeral service: Austin Hickok, Brad Gulley, Marty McCleese, Tyler McCleese, Rocky Stacy, Kevin Stidam, Ronnie Stidam, and Kevin Watkins.
At the funeral ceremony, Michael White Stidam, Lawrence Caudill, Brian Stidam, and Brian Caudill, together with Tyler Butler, Eric Willoughby, and Brian Caudill, will act as honorary bearers of the coffin. On Thursday, July 13, 2023, there will be a viewing held at the Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals, which is situated in Morehead at 400 Fraley Drive. The visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m.
