Additionally, he provided sports-centric coverage for the Fox Business Network’s “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” weekday series, hosted by Neil Cavuto.

Furthermore, Napolitano lent his voice to the Fox News Edge service, which delivers news coverage and content packages to Fox affiliate stations nationwide.

His spouse, Ricky Whitcomb, earned a degree in theater production from Stony Brook University in 2006.

Whitcomb’s professional journey included roles such as an event manager at StarQuest International Inc. from August 2014 to June 2018.

Subsequently, he served as a staging coordinator at the AV Workshop between August 2018 and July 2019.

Later, from July 2019 to October 2019, he took on the position of technical services coordinator at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

His most recent role before November 2022 was as the director of event technology and technical director at Sns Staging.

The couple maintained a very public stance about their gay identity and shared glimpses of their life together, including moments of celebration and pride.

In one of his messages, Whitcomb revealed that Napolitano had battled an autoimmune disease diagnosed nearly two decades ago and ultimately died as the result of an infection.

Suzanne Scott, the CEO of Fox News, lauded Napolitano’s dedication and versatility in journalism.

In a memo circulated to Fox News staff on December 24, Scott expressed,

“Matt did everything from anchoring to writing and producing for our audio platforms and loved being able to work in the journalism field that he trained for his entire life.”
